It took only about 4 hours for Sheboygan Police to take a robbery suspect into custody on Wednesday night.
Sheboygan Police responded to the incident at the Citgo gas station at South 8th and Clara Avenue at around 7 p.m., and by 11 p.m. they’d arrested a person in connection with the robbery.
There were no injuries during the robbery or apprehension, and Police thanked the public for their help in locating the person of interest. More information is expected from the SPD later today.

The Sheboygan Police Department reported more details on Thursday morning concerning the arrest of a suspect in connection with the Citgo robbery.
The crime took place at about 7:10 p.m. Wednesday when a gas station clerk reported that a masked man, armed with a knife, demanded the money from the till. The suspect fled after receiving cash from the clerk. No one was hurt during the incident.
Responding officers set up a perimeter within which they completed a neighborhood canvass. After locating and reviewing video of the incident, a suspect was developed and taken into custody at around 11 a.m. Thursday. The 38-year-old Watertown, WI resident is in jail awaiting issuance of Armed Robbery charges as requested from the Sheboygan County District Attorney’s Office.
The store clerk was commended for her ability to remain calm and provide the information that was critical to resolving the situation. She will be referred to the Victim Witness Unit of the Sheboygan County District Attorney’s Office for appropriate support services.
