The ongoing decline of COVID-19 in Sheboygan County continues, albeit at a subdued rate compared with past weeks.
The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 increased by 12 to 29,140, while recoveries bumped up by 32. This dropped the active case count by 20 over Monday’s reading, to 1,271.
There was one additional hospitalization required in the last day, but there were three discharges, dropping the current patient count by two, to 7 currently hospitalized.
The level of community transmission in Sheboygan County remains “high”. The Case Rate and Test Positivity Rates were unrevised since Monday, at 158.66 per 100,000 persons, and 9.52% respectively.
Another 14 persons received their first vaccination in the last day, raising that total to 72,081 persons, or 62.5% of the county population. 59.7%, or 68,751, have completed their vaccination series with the addition of 41 in the last day.
