Marian E. (Luecke) Gerke, age 85, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday
morning, February 9, 2022, at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.
Marian was born on July 23, 1936, in the Town of Herman. She was the daughter of the late
Walter and Lydia (Woepse) Luecke.
Marian graduated from Kiel High School and the School of Business Administration of Lakeland
College. She retired in 2009 from Walmart, Inc.
Marian was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove, WI.
Marian is survived by two sons, Mark (Lynette) Gerke of Hales Corners, WI, and Scott (Debbie)
Gerke of Whitefish Bay, WI; four grandchildren, Matthew, Julia, Thomas, and Brian; sister-in-
law, Judy Luecke; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Jerome (Ruth), William, Earl
(Ardelle), and Lloyd Luecke.
A funeral service will be held for Marian at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Trinity
Lutheran Church in Howards Grove with Pastor Robert Steele officiating. A public visitation at
the church will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of Marian’s service. Marian’s funeral will
be livestreamed and viewable at a later date from her obituary page on the funeral home’s
website. She will be interred in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery next to the church following her
service.
Marian’s family would like to thank the staff at Pine Haven and St. Nicholas Hospital for their
compassionate care. They would also like to thank Marian’s friends and neighbors who have
helped care for her over the years.
