Normal operations have finally returned to the Sheboygan Police Facility. It took the better part of a week to make repairs to the lobby area of the North 23rd Street headquarters after a water main broke last Wednesday morning. The break caused damage to the front entrance and lobby, forcing cancellation of programs and closing access to the dropbox used for payments. On Sunday it was announced that while repairs were being made, some unexpected issues arose that extended interruptions through Monday.
Enough repairs have now been done to re-open the lobby area to the public. Both the Sheboygan Police Department and the Sheboygan-Kohler municipal Court will resume normal business operations and counter service.
The SPD did say that some intermittent closures will be needed to complete repairs over the coming weeks, and notifications will come in advance of those closures.
