(Editor’s note:
The female drive of the northbound Silverado was 31, not 21, years of age, per a relative. We apologize for the error.)
An accident at about 9:45 a.m. on Friday has claimed the life of a 24-year old Sheboygan Man.
Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig reports that deputies and EMS personnel responded to the intersection of State Highways 32 and 57 for a two-vehicle crash. A preliminary investigation determined that the Sheboygan Man was driving his Jeep Patriot southbound on those highways when he failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with a Silverado truck northbound on 57. The driver of the Jeep suffered fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Silverado, a 31-year-old New Holstein woman, was transported by ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries. Her passenger, an infant, was properly restrained and wasn’t injured.
Names are being withheld as the accident remains under investigation.
