
John J. Martin Jr., age 69, passed away on January 19, 2022, at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical
Center.
He was born on August 4, 1952, in Green Bay to the late Annabelle (Manning) and John Martin Sr.. After
graduating high school, John furthered his education earning a degree in engineering. John was
currently employed as a plant manager at Foam Tech in Milwaukee.
On November 20, 1982, John married the love of his life Patty Meyers at United One Church of Christ in
Sheboygan.
John loved spending his time woodworking, socializing at different establishments, yard working, playing
backyard games, skiing, traveling, but his favorite was sitting around the campfire on many camping
trips taken over the years. Above all, family meant the world to John, especially spending time with his
grandchildren. His sense of humor and love for his life will be deeply missed by all who were lucky
enough to know him.
John was the loving husband of almost 40 years to Patty; devoted father to Jason Martin, Paul (Lisa)
Martin and Debbie (fiancé Curtis Torry) (Martin) Van Ess; cherished papa to Dylan, Madison, Dominic,
Hailey, Kadin, and Bryson; a brother to many siblings; “Uncle Goo” to many nieces and nephews; and a
son-in-law to Diane Meyers; other Martin / Meyers family and friends further survive.
John was preceded in death by his Father – John Martin Sr., Mother – Annabelle (Manning) Martin,
Father in Law – Claude Meyers.
A Funeral Service for John will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Ballhorn Chapels
Funeral and Cremation Care Center, 1201 N 8 th St. in Sheboygan, with Pastor DuWayne Hanke officiating.
The family will greet visitors on Tuesday, at the funeral home, from 3:00 PM until the time of the
service. John’s service will be livestreamed on his obituary page on www.ballhornchapels.com
A memorial fund has been established in John’s name.
The family would like to thank the kind and supporting staff at Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center and
the hospice team that kept John comfortable in his last days.
