Kids removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect will get some special gifts today. CASA, a group of Wisconsin Court Appointed Special Advocates, will celebrate its expansion into Sheboygan County with a delivery of suitcases from its “My Stuff, My Bag” program today. 13 other east-central Wisconsin Counties, including Manitowoc, are already served by the organization.
26th District State Representative Terry Katsma will be among those helping deliver suitcases filled with hygiene and personal care items like pajamas, socks, a pillow and toiletries to the children. Those items were donated during the holidays in an effort that began in 2019 with help from the Green Bay Packers Give Back Celebrity Bowling event.
Julie Ribley, the Director of CASA of East Central Wisconsin said they’re excited to now be in Sheboygan County, saying that “It just takes one caring adult to make a difference in a child’s life and I know there are a lot of caring adults in Sheboygan County, ready to help.” Ribly urged anyone interested in helping a young person to contact CASA of East Central Wisconsin at casaecw.org.
