Although a reprieve was given to most schools when the Sheboygan Area School District adopted the new 5-day isolation guidelines for active COVID-19 cases from the CDC, one Sheboygan school will have mandatory masking for a week.
Etude Middle School was experiencing a 7.79% incidence of COVID-19 among its student body on Wednesday according to the District’s COVID-19 dashboard, triggering the requirement that all students, staff and visitors to that charter school wear masks for 7 days. Most other schools are well below the 5% threshold of student cases set by the Board of Education last October. 88 of the Sheboygan Area District’s 9,596 students are currently out with COVID.
