Even before COVID hit, the label “essential” was accurate when describing healthcare workers. Now, those workers are even more essential than ever and the need is only expected to grow.
Hoping to get more candidates into the healthcare field, Lakeshore Technical College will be holding several events where prospective students can ask faculty and staff about LTC’s healthcare career programs, as well as how to pay for college, the application process and other questions about earning their degree.
The first will be a “Coffee Shop Chat” this Thursday from noon until 3 p.m. at Jenn’s Java on Washington Street in Manitowoc. No registration is required and one free food or beverage item will be offered to each who attend.
The second event will be a Valentine’s Day community blood drive on February 14 from 9 a.m. until 2 pm. at LTC’s Cleveland Campus where tours will be given. And although a blood donation isn’t required, an appointment to donate is…and you can do that and learn more about the admissions event by going online at gotoltc.edu/blood-drive.
