Norman J. Kanske, age 80, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2022, at Golden Harbor
Assisted Living. He was born on October 25, 1941, to the late Norman O. and Esther (Kuehl)
Kanske. He graduated from North High School, class of '61.
Norman was preceded in death by cousins; Dr. Ruth Robbins of Chicago, IL, Fredrick Kuehl of
Forestville, WI, and Douglass Maurer of TX.
Norman is survived by cousins; Suzanne Kuehl of Colorado Springs CO, Christy (Stephen) Myers
of Oostburg, WI, Gene Robbins of Fox River Grove, IL, Stephanie Maurer of Milwaukee, WI,
Rachel Maurer of TX, Sarah (Steven) Maurer of Boyd, TX; close friends Mary Thorne, Gary Kohl,
Louise and Richard Bennington, and loving caregivers DeeDee Braelich and Donna Thomas.
His love and knowledge of opera and classical music was shared with any who would listen.
Politically astute with a dry sense of humor he was a joy to be around.
Following Norman's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a
later date. Norman will be laid to rest at Wildwood Cemetery.
