The rate of COVID-19 among students at a Sheboygan school has exceeded the critical level of 5% that will now require mandatory masking for a week. The incidence of COVID at the the Sheboygan Leadership Academy, a Kindergarten through 8th Grade school at 13th and St. Clair Avenue, has reached 5.26%, and per a policy passed last October by the School Board, masks will now be required for all students, staff, and visitors to that school for at least the next 7 calendar days.
Cases at five other schools are between 3 and 4 percent, while the actual number of cases is highest at Sheboygan North High, with 48 students listed as of Monday on the Sheboygan Area School District’s COVID-19 Dashboard.
