DETROIT, MI (WHBL) – Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love split QB duties while David Bakhtiari made his season debut in a 37-30 loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
Rodgers finished 14 of 18 for 138 yards and two touchdowns – both to Allen Lazard.
The Lions managed to take a 17-13 lead going into halftime thanks to a 34-yard field goal from Riley Patterson.
Green Bay would turn to Jordan Love for the remainder of the game. He led two touchdown drives that were capped by a one-yard run from Patrick Taylor and a 62-yard strike to Josiah Deguara.
Lazard and Deguara were the leading receivers in the game with 75 and 66 yards, respectively, and three combined TDs. Davante Adams had six catches for 55 yards on seven targets.
AJ Dillion once again led the rushing attack with 14 carries for 63 yards. Taylor had his number called 11 times for 53 yards and the score.
Defensively, Krys Barnes finished with 5 tackles including one tackle for loss and two assists.
Green Bay falls to 13-4 in the first-ever seventeen-game NFL season and will have next week off to prepare for the NFC Divisional Playoffs where they will face the lowest remaining seed at Lambeau Field.
Detroit finished the season at 3-13-1 and will select #2 overall in next spring’s NFL Draft in Las Vegas.
