(WHBL) – The Wisconsin Badgers survived a Maryland comeback and won their fifth straight game with a 70-69 victory on Sunday night.
The Badgers led by as many as 21 points, but the Terrapins had pulled to within one on a three-pointer with 4.2 seconds left in the game. Brad Davison then missed two free throws but a Maryland heave at the buzzer was no good and Wisconsin held on for the win.
Tyler Wahl had a career-high 21 points and Johnny Davis added 19 for the 23rd ranked Badgers who expect to move up in the new poll after winning three Big Ten Games this week. Seven players scored in double figures for Wisconsin.
The Badgers, now 13-2, 4-1 in Big Ten, will host Ohio State on Thursday night.
