Rose Marie C. Henke, age 93, passed away surrounded by her family on January 1, 2022.
She was born in Sheboygan on February 25, 1928, to the late Frank and Florence (Trester)
Derus. Rose Marie graduated from North High School. On May 1, 1948, Rose Marie married
Robert Henke in Sheboygan. He preceded her in death on December 17, 1993. She worked in
accounting throughout her career beginning with Prange’s, Kingsbury Brewery, Schreier Malting
Co. and retiring from Cargill in 1993. Rose Marie was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church
where she had served as a Sacristan. After retirement, she also volunteered as a receptionist at
the Sheboygan Senior Center.
Rose Marie was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards and was a staunch Packer fan. Making
many memories fishing and boating in northern Wisconsin was a favorite past time for Rose
Marie.
Rose Marie is survived by her daughters; Nancy Larson and Connie (Tony) Graczyk;
grandchildren, Kelly (Kevin) Larson-Singer and Brad (Jenny) Larson; great-grandchildren, Alayna
and Colin Larson and Katie and Derek Larson; a brother, James (Donata) Derus; nieces,
nephews, other family and friends further survive.
Along with her parents and husband, Rose Marie was preceded in death by her sister Delores
Gehr.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Rose Marie will be held at 12:15 PM on Friday, January 14 th , 2022,
at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 2133 N 22nd St. in Sheboygan, with Father Mark Brandl
officiating. Family will greet visitors at the church on Friday from 11:00 AM until NOON. Rose
Marie will be laid to rest next to Robert at Calvary Cemetery in Sheboygan.
