
Kathleen Ann Matzdorf, age 76, of Sheboygan, passed away on Sunday (December 26, 2021) at St.
Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.
She was born in Plymouth, WI on July 13, 1945, a daughter of the late Albert and Cecilia (Kapellen) Bermke.
Kathy attended St. John the Baptist grade school and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1963.
On January 18, 1964 she married Larry Matzdorf at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth where she sang in the
Church Choir.
Kathy worked at GTE and Pleasant View Realty, retiring in 2009.
She enjoyed playing cards in her card clubs and she enjoyed bowling, golfing, going to garage
sales and antiquing.
Survivors include her loving husband: Larry of Plymouth and her daughter: Wendy (Kurt) Mauk
of Plymouth; two granddaughters: Heather Jankus and Kim (Jeremy) Shaske; four great-
grandchildren: Kara and Lana Jankus and Evritt and Alexis Abston; sister: Shirley (Tom)
Muehlbauer; brothers-in-law: Ron (Diane) Matzdorf, Ken (Carol) Matzdorf; and sisters-in-law:
Pattie Bermke and Barb (James) Herzog.
She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son: Ricky; daughter: Terrie, parents: Albert and Cecilia
Bermke; brother: Kenneth Bermke; and father and mother-in-law: Elroy and Clarice Matzdorf.
Visitation will be held on Thursday (December 30, 2021) at the Suchon Funeral Home in
Plymouth from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM, with a prayer service to follow at 6:00 PM. Father Philip
Reifenberg, Pastor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the St.
Thomas Aquinas South Catholic Cemetery (St. Fridolins) in Greenbush.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Kathleen’s name.
