Michael “Mike” Robert Horon, age 39, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully with family by his side
on Monday, December 20, 2021, at Aurora – St. Luke’s in Milwaukee.
Mike was born to Sharon Bone and Robert Horon in Sheboygan on December 6, 1982. Mike was a 2001
graduate of Sheboygan North High School.
After high school, Mike worked as a Hazmat Technician and Equipment Operator at Veolia. Mike was a true
outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends. One of his best catches was a 42 inch
King Salmon off the shores of Lake Michigan. Through his travels, he was able to fish the rivers of Alaska to
the depths of the Ocean and everywhere in between. Mike loved sports and excelled in football. He cheered
on all of the professional and college Wisconsin teams, especially the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee
Brewers. He enjoyed watching his nephews and nieces play baseball, football and hockey. In the summer, he
could be found on the golf course. Besides being an avid sports fan, Mike had a great sense for fine art and
literature. He loved to listen to music and attend live performances. One of his favorite things to do was go
thrifting with his family and friends and find forgotten treasures, valuing their history. Mike also cherished the
companionship of his beloved dog Chilli.
Due to Mike’s kind hearted nature, he made friends easily. His warm heart, deep laugh, and great sense of
humor could light up a room. Mike’s loyalty and kindness made him a terrific son, brother, uncle, nephew and
friend.
Mike will be deeply missed by his mother, Sharon; brother, Toby (Jodi) Horon; sister, Melissa (Eric) Waara;
nieces and nephews, Cody, Ethan, Bennett, Allison, and Abby; and other relatives and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Robert; and his paternal and maternal grandparents
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 PM for Mike on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Zimmer-Westview
