A Sheboygan County resident in their 30s is the latest victim of COVID-19 during the pandemic, the 181st overall, and was added to the numbers on the County Coronavirus Case Dashboard by the Division of Public Health on Friday. Of the casualties so far, one person was between 10 and 19, four – including the latest – were in their 30s, seven were in their 40s, eight were in their 50s, twenty-seven were in their 60s, forty-four were in their 70s, and 90 were at least 80 years old.
78 new confirmed positives were added to the running total for the pandemic, now up to 20,367. 82 persons recovered, lowering the active case count to 1,142. 31 persons are hospitalized, among the 1,013 patients so far requiring treatment.
Sheboygan County’s Level of Community Transmission is “High”, with a Case Rate of 612.97 new cases 100,000 persons in the last 7 days. That’s down more than 166 points (166.46) from Thursday. The Percent of Positive Tests also declined in the last day, reduced by 0.3% to 13.1%.
130 more persons received their first shot of vaccine since Thursday, raising that total to 69,039, or 59.9% of the county population. Fully vaccinated individuals now make up 56.7% of the county population, as another 135 persons completed their series and raising that total to 65,392.
