Gary L. Halverson, 77, of Sheboygan died December 8, 2021 with family at his side at the Sharon S.
Richardson Community Hospice Center.
Gary was born on July 22, 1944 in Black River Falls, WI a son to Ed and Edith (Simplot) Halverson. He
married Kathleen White in 1970 and three children were born to them, Jennifer, Greg and Lisa. They
later divorced. On his birthday in 1994 he married Kay L. Menendez and she preceded him in death on
November 22, 2015. Gary and Kay shared a wonderful life camping, sitting by the campfire, fishing and
playing cards. Gary was employed at the Kohler Company for 37 years. Gary was a sports enthusiast
which was evident if you ever saw his large collection of sports caps. He enjoyed the Green Bay Packers
and the Milwaukee Brewers. He played in the Kohler Baseball League and miniature bowled.
Gary was a member of the UAW Local 833.
Gary is survived by his three children, brothers, Bob and Al of Peoria, IL, Roger of Chandler, AZ and
Richard of Red Oak, TX; a sister Mary of Greenfield, WI along with 7 grandchildren and many nieces and
nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Bruce, Harvey and Irwin and two
sisters, Sandra and Linda.
Gary’s wishes were that there not be any services. A private family remembrance will be held at a later
date. Inurnment took place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation Service of Plymouth is serving Gary’s family.
