SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) – The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department says they responded to 20 snow-related incidents Sunday when that rain/snow mix fell across the area.
There was 1 injury-accident, 13 “property damage” crashes, 5 cars that spun off into ditches, and 1 hit and run crash.
The Sheriff’s Department says it’s the time of the year to slow down and give yourself some extra time on the road to get where you’re going safely.

Yet every year it’s the same thing, city and county snow removal is only done after accidents occur. Why? It seems like they are caught off guard or surprised by the snow even though it’s been predicted for a while.
Kinda makes one wonder who is in charge and why this happens every year. Why is the public more informed but the powers to be are less informed.
Maybe, it’s time to start sending repair bills to the city and county for their lack of doing their job. Maybe then they will start taking action early instead of reactionary.
Sure, it all fine and dandy to say the public should slow down, but when you have no control on ice, which could have been prevented, what then?
It’s time to hold these people accountable for their lack of action. Start sending your repair bills to those who fail to do their job correctly, then maybe we will see what happens.
