The Sheboygan County Division of Public Health has begun what it calls “Tot Tuesdays” for childhood vaccinations.
The vaccination clinic for children ages 5-11 will be held every Tuesday starting today (November 16th) from 2-7 PM at the Health and Human Service building on North 8th Street across from Fountain Park.
Children will be administered the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, which gained FDA authorization for use by children late last month. The two-dose vaccine is given 3 weeks apart and is a lower dose than that for individuals 12 and older. The FDA said that the vaccine has shown nearly 91% effectiveness in preventing COVID-19 in children 5-11 years old.
