MADISON, WI (WHBL) – The Wisconsin basketball team, playing without Johnny Davis, lost to Providence 63-58 on Monday night at the Kohl Center.
Davis, who was averaging 15 points a game was out with a lower body injury.
Wisconsin shot just 26% in the first half and fell behind by 11. They were just 5 of 37 from three point range.
The Badgers were led by Brad Davison with 25. Tyler Wahl added 16. Those two were 14 of 29 with their teammates going 6 of 32 on the night.
Both Steven Crowl and Chris Vogt were in early foul trouble and that allowed Providence big man Nate Watson to have a big game. He had 24 points.
Wisconsin, now 2-1, will be back in action against Texas A&M next Monday at the Maui Invitational.
