It is with great sadness that we mourn the sudden passing of Scott P. Van Haveren, loving
father, grandfather, and friend.
Scott is survived by his three children, Matthew Van Haveren, Kimberly (JP) Doepke, and
Maxwell (Courtney) Van Haveren; his grandchildren Milo, Finley, and Ryland; his sister Avis
(Chuck) Steenstra and family; special friends the Gollhardts; and long-time high school friends.
Scott is preceded in death by his parents, Elsie and Carl Van Haveren; the mother of his
children, Jean Heimer; and granddaughter, Lola Grace Doepke.
Scott was born in Sheboygan, on October 29, 1957, and graduated from Sheboygan North High
School in 1975. From there his professional career included roles in customer service, sales, and
administrative duties. Most recently, he was employed by Waste Management of Sheboygan.
Scott was a devoted father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family and
friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, specifically Terry Andrae State Park, where he would watch
the sunrise and collect natural treasures. He found beauty in collecting unique artwork and
frequented the Festival of the Arts each summer. Most nights, you could find him on his deck
grilling up everything from kabobs to chicken brats to steaks. Most importantly, he never
missed an opportunity to make his grandchildren feel special by sending cards for every
holiday, showing off their artwork, and spending quality time together. Scott will be deeply
missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
