The now-familiar Tuesday jump in active coronavirus cases in Sheboygan County was evident again in the Coronavirus Case Dashboard posted by the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health. 132 new positive tests for the virus were received since Monday, and along with 38 recoveries the active case count jumped 94 on Tuesday to a total fo 744 persons now being monitored. 17,552 cases in all have been recorded in Sheboygan County during the pandemic. 897 of those had to be hospitalized, and with 6 admissions balanced against 5 discharges Tuesday’s patient count increased to 19 persons.
The level of community transmission in the county remains “high”. The case rate over the last 7 days is 378.88 per 100,000 persons, up slightly from Monday, while the positivity rate of tests done over the last 7 days dropped almost a half percent point to 11.3%.
Vaccination data from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services is regularly audited, and when examining the Friday, November 5th data, errors were found including the number of individuals who had received at least one dose, and the number who have competed the series. The agency said it is working diligently to resolve the issue and will correct the information as soon as possible. The most recent data available is that of Friday the 5th, indicating that 65,289 persons, or 56.6% of the County population, had received at least one dose. 62,414, or 54.1%, had completed the series.
35 educational facilities in Sheboygan County, one more than last week, are now experiencing a facility-wide investigation, which is started if there are two or more cases of COVID-19 within a school student, staff or faculty. Those currently being monitored are:

Five skilled nursing long-term care facilities now have active investigations, one fewer than last week. Investigations there are opened if there is one or more cases of COVID-19 within the facility, be it a resident or staff. Current investigations are underway at:
