Parents of children ages 5-11 hoping to have their children vaccinated through the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health will have to wait just a bit longer. In its first of two weekly coronavirus pandemic updates issued on Monday, the DPH said that they will not be vaccinating that age group during its free Walk-In Wednesday vaccination clinic held at the Health and Human Services building on North 8th Street. The agency is currently waiting on shipment of the pediatric Pfizer vaccine and is also in the process of training staff in pediatric COVID vaccine administration. Updates will be posted on the COVID-19 page of the county website – sheboygancounty.com – as soon as it is able to be offered. Meanwhile, those wishing to have their children vaccinated sooner can do so through Prevea Health which began administering the 2-shot series to children today. Parents can register for having their children vaccinated through a free MyPrevea.com account. One does not need to be a Prevea patient in order to sign up for the vaccines.
