The City of Plymouth will be looking for a new City Administrator following a special meeting Tuesday night.
A brief release from Mayor Don Pohlman following the meeting said simply that the:
“…Council voted to terminate their employment contract with City Administrator/Utilities Manager, Jordan Skiff, effective immediately.
While this decision was difficult for Council, we wish Mr. Skiff the best in his future endeavors.”
A notice had been sent out on Monday stating that a special meeting would be held to discuss “dismissal or discipline” of a public employee, and at the time didn’t identify the person or why the actions were being considered.
The Mayor’s statement releasing City Administrator Skiff also shed no light on the reasons, stating only that it is the city’s policy to not discuss personnel matters.
The Plymouth Common Council has appointed Cathy Austin as the interim City Administrator/Utilities Manager.
Jordan Skiff began his position with Plymouth this past January, and had previously served as the City of Fond du Lac’s public works director since 2011.
