HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital
Hospital Sisters Health System, which operates Sheboygan’s St. Nicholas Hospital and 5 besides 14 others in Illinois and Wisconsin as well as 183 clinics, has announced that it is raising the minimum wage for its colleagues to $15 an hour. That will affect about half of some 3,000 colleagues. The other half already earn above that minimum wage.
HSHS President and CEO Damond Boatwright said that it was felt that raising the minimum wage will help the organization better retain and attract the most engaged, committed and talented people to fulfill their healing mission.
The increase will apply to a number of entry level positions at HSHS institutions, and will begin on October 31st.
