Carol Cordeiro, 77, of Sheboygan, is now at peace, free from pain. She was surrounded by family when God called her home on Monday afternoon, October 11, 2021.
Carol was born in the summer of 1944, in Horicon, WI, to Edna (Raabe) and John Cramlet. In the happy summer of 1967, she was united in marriage to her soulmate, Luiz A. Cordeiro. Carol and Luiz celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary this year. Together, they faced life’s ups and downs and traveled a path that grew ever more full of joy. Her calling was to give care and she pursued it with passion. She served as a nurse for 35 years at St. Nicholas Hospital. Not quite ready to retire, she continued to touch hearts and create smiles at RCS in Sheboygan, where she supported people with disabilities, providing creative activities to the participants in their day service programs. She retired in 2010 to enjoy her grandchildren and spend time with her family.
Carol held a quiet strength, forged in kindness. Carol never complained and always carried a heart filled by the grace of her Lord and Savior.
Carol is survived by her beloved Luiz; by seven of her eight siblings (John Cramlet, Dorothy (Darrell) Pollesch, Charles (Janet) Cramlet, Pearl Gehrke, Ruth (Dennis) Lautenschlaeger, Jeanette (Gordy) DeZoute and Jerry (Darlyn) Cramlet; her three children: Elizabeth (Owen) Ranta of San Luis Obispo, CA; Ricardo (Kari) Cordeiro of Cedarburg; and Ronaldo (Liz) Cordeiro of Sheboygan. Carol is also survived by, and was dearly loved by six grandchildren: Maxwell, Eluiza, Olivia, Cinara, Sadie and Grace.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna (Raabe) and John Cramlet of Sheboygan, her sister, Lorna Adair of Tucson, AZ; her brother in-law, Donald Gehrke of Horicon; her Mother and Father in-law, Jenner and Dirce Cordeiro of Londrina, Brazil; her brother in-law, Alencar Cordeiro, of Londrina, Brazil; and her sister-in-law, Delfina Cordeiro, of Londrina, Brazil.
Following Carol’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Greenlawn Mausoleum in Kohler. Carol will be in heaven, waiting for Luiz and the rest of her family.
The family would like to extend a wholehearted Thank You to the caregivers of the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center. Their care and compassion during Carol’s final days was a godsend. In lieu of flowers we encourage donations in memory of Carol to Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center.
The Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home is serving the family.
