All national trends aside, the coronavirus pandemic in Sheboygan County is not showing clear signs of receding. Despite occasional moves downward along with frequent advances, Sheboygan County’s data dashboard shows a sustained presence of COVID-19 cases in most metrics.
115 new positive cases have been recorded by the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health since Monday, while 26 persons recovered. The net gain of 89 cases pushed the active case count to 775. 16,218 cases in all have occurred in Sheboygan County during the pandemic. The DPH reports a 7-day average of 289.58 cases per 100,000 persons, with an 11.02% positivity rate. Those stats compare with 294.78 and 10.91% respectively from Monday. Taking into account the past 7 reporting days (weekends are excluded) the average number of active cases in the county is 741.
Hospitalizations increased by 3 since Monday. 4 persons were admitted while 1 was discharged, and 16 persons are now being treated for their symptoms. In all, 819 hospitalization have been required here during the pandemic.

At least 1 dose of vaccine has been administered to 64,111 Sheboygan County residents, comprising 55.6% of the county. That’s 36 more than on Monday. 53.4%, or 61,607, are fully vaccinated, an increase of 50 in the last day.
