Joyce Ann Herriges of Batavia, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, after a
courageous battle with cancer, on October 4, 2021.
She was born on November 11, 1937 in Campbellsport, WI, the only child of the late Arthur and Edna
(Corbett) Wilke.
Joyce lived her entire life in the town of Scott. She attended Longfellow Grade School and graduated
from Random Lake High School in 1955. After graduation she worked at West Bend Company before
marrying Andrew Herriges on September 28, 1957. Besides being a wife and wonderful mother, Joyce
also worked at Upland Springs Greenhouse for spring planting, cleaned, and bartended at the Hilltop,
worked as a delivery driver for Random Lake Auto Parts, and enjoyed her cleaning job at Creekside Bar
and Restaurant.
Joyce was an avid racing fan. She attended many area racetracks, following Mike Melius and Brad
Mueller. She also enjoyed snowmobiling and especially playing sheepshead with her dear cousins and
friends. Joyce was baptized, confirmed and married at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Silver Creek.
She was active in establishing New Horizon United Church of Christ where she leaves a loving church
family.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Andrew; children, Robert (Holly) Herriges, Vicki
(James) Keller, and Julie Herriges (Lois Malczewski); grandchildren, Cory (Allyson) Herriges, Marshall
Herriges, Chad (Jolene) LeClair, Tyler (Michaela) LeClair, Allison Keller (Mike Konicek), and Jonathan
Malczewski. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Mary Emily, Andrew, Abigail, and Charlotte
Herriges, Bryson LeClair, Audrey and Valerie Konicek; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews,
cousins, and dear friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and great-grandson, Aiden Michael LeClair.
Visitation will take place on Saturday (October 9, 2021) at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from
2:00 PM – 5:00 PM; with a memorial service to follow at 5:00 PM. Rev. Deborah Tyler will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Joyce’s name for New Horizon UCC in
Kewaskum.

along with Stacy Wynveen of Aurora at Home Hospice for their tender care. Also, to Holly Herriges for
her 24 hour loving care for the past six weeks as well as Chris Mueller for all her welfare checks and her
amazing friendship.
