Total confirmed cases in the county now number 15,732. There were 9 persons hospitalized on Thursday, after 1 new patient was admitted, and 4 were discharged.

Sheboygan South High School has the most cases per institution in Sheboygan County, with 20 open cases as of Thursday morning, while Jackson Elementary School has the highest percentage of students actively battling the coronavirus within the Sheboygan Area School District, with 2.32% of that population affected. Under metrics to be discussed at the next regular meeting of the Sheboygan Area School District Board on October 26th, that would exceed the 2% threshold proposed to trigger a masking mandate, however that is only under discussion at this time and is not yet implemented.
55.2% of the county population has now received at least one dose of vaccine, amounting to 63,640 persons, 64 more than on Wednesday. 60,826 persons, or 52.7%, are fully vaccinated, an increase of 105 in the last day.
