Dorothy Margaret Leannah, 70, of Sheboygan, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021
following a long battle with cancer, at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. She
was born April 8, 1951 in Sparta to the late George and Margaret (Schultz) Semann. Dorothy
graduated from Brookwood High School.
On August 14, 1981 she was united in marriage to Robert Leannah at St. John the Baptist
Summit Ridge in Norwalk. Dorothy loved children and was a nanny for many years.
Dorothy enjoyed crocheting and cooking. She loved to travel, a few of her most cherished trips
were to Canada with her husband Robert, Alaska with her son Daniel, to South Carolina with
her daughter Tamara, and going out West with her mother. She also had a passion for nature
and wildlife, enjoyed fishing and loved to garden. Her family was her pride and joy, she loved
spending time with them creating lasting memories and being “grandma” to everyone.
Dorothy was a treasured wife to Robert, devoted mother to Scott (Virginia) Leannah of
Milwaukee, Kevin Leannah of Stevens Point, Tamara (Paul) Schultz of Sheboygan, and Daniel
(Fiancée Penny Hinz) Leannah of Sheboygan, beloved grandma to Abigail and Madeline Pocian,
Mia Leannah, and Brittain and Lane Cole, cherished sister to Anita (Robert) Schjerven of Dallas,
TX, William (Valarie) Semann of Norwalk, Don ( Karen) Semann of Sparta, and Mary (Dan)
Urbanek, she is further loved and missed by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
and her faithful companion Zeus.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and twin brothers, John and Jerome Semann.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St.
Dominic Catholic Church, 2133 N. 22 nd St., Sheboygan, with Rev. Norberto Sandoval officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit with the family
on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM at the CHURCH. If you are
unable to attend the service, it will be livestreamed on Dorothy’s obituary page on the funeral
home website.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in
Dorothy’s name.

Center at Froedtert, the staff at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice, and all Dorothy’s family and
friends for their care, compassion and support.
