MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Bucks announced they are giving head coach Mike Budenholzer a three-year contract extension. Budenholzer’s deal was set to expire at the end of the upcoming season but he will now have a deal through the 2024-25 season.
The head coach helped guide Milwaukee to its first championship in 50 years this past season.
In his first three years with the team, Budenholzer has led the Bucks to an NBA title, back-to-back Conference Semifinal appearances, the most playoff wins in the league with 31, and the NBA best regular season record over that time at 162-65.
GM Jon Horst said, “We have a mission and we’re all pulling in the same direction. Bud’s an incredible partner, someone I want to work with for as long as I possibly can, the players want to work with and our ownership trusts and believes in.”
