MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – Kolten Wong tripled, homered and knocked in three runs as the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Washington Nationals 7-3 in Milwaukee on Sunday.
Lorenzo Cain added a two-run blast for the Crew, who took two-of-three in the series. Hunter Strickland picked up the win and Josh Hader recorded the final out for his 26th save.
Carter Kieboom went deep in a two-run ninth for Washington, which has dropped nine of its last 12. Sean Nolin allowed three runs in four frames as he fell to 0-2.
The Brewers have Monday off, then will host the Cincinnati Reds for a three-game series beginning Tuesday night.
