(WHBL) – The coronavirus and severe weather took its toll on the Wisconsin State Fair this year.
Managers announced on Thursday that over 840- thousand people went to the fair this year. That’s the smallest crowd since 2009.
The fair was canceled last year because of the coronavirus, and fair managers had hoped for a crowd of over a million people. But the delta variant and several nights of strong and severe storms across southeast Wisconsin dashed those hopes.
