With 9 new cases and 7 recoveries from COVID-19 in Sheboygan County since Tuesday, the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health’s Coronavirus Case Dashboard indicated a gain of 2 active cases, to a total of 294 now being monitored. 14,430 in all have developed COVID-19 infections in Sheboygan County during the course of the pandemic. Deaths remain unchanged at 154, and 8 persons are now hospitalized, one more than on Tuesday.
At least one vaccination dose has been administered to 52.1% of Sheboygan County’s population, or 60,045 persons. 56,648, or 49.1%, are fully vaccinated against the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy today announced that COVID-19 booster shots will be offered free to fully-vaccinated adults 18 years and older, beginning 8 months after receiving their second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna mRNA Vaccines. The program will begin the week of September 20th, 2021.
