Thomas C. Kirchner, age 89, of Plymouth, WI, passed away peacefully on Saturday (August 7, 2021) at
Aria of Waukesha.
He was born on September 9, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late Henry and Ruth (Davidson)
Kirchner.
Thomas spent his childhood growing up in Brooklyn and served in the United States Navy and United
States Army from 1957-1961 during the Koren War.
He met Judith Broitzmann in Milwaukee, and the couple married August 23, 1958 in Waukegan, IL. The
couple moved to Cascade in 1967. She preceded him in death on November 11, 2015.
Thomas worked for many construction companies and retired from Meyer Construction in Milwaukee in
1992.
He was a member of the Plymouth VFW World Cheese Center Post #5612 and also belonged to the
Milwaukee Local Carpenter Union.
Thomas enjoyed hunting, saltwater fishing, and spending time with his loving family.
Survivors include his two children: Thomas J. Kirchner of Fond du Lac and Laura Kirchner of Sussex; three
siblings: Ann Kirchner and Edward Kirchner, both of New York, and James (Marie) Kirchner of Florida;
and sister-in-law: Kathy Kirchner of Florida. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
He was preceded in death by: three brothers: Richard, John, and Bob Kirchner; sister: Ruth (Fred) Gray;
and sisters-in-law: Patricia Landolt and Leila Kirchner.
Following Thomas’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday
(August 18, 2021) at 5:00PM at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. Richard Bidinger, Pastor of
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cascade, will officiate.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday (Aug 18) from 3:00 PM until the time of services.
Military Rites will be conducted by the Plymouth VFW World Cheese Center Post #5612 following the
services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Thomas’ name for the Wounded Warrior
Project.
