CHICAGO, IL (WHBL) – Luis Urias and Manny Pina put on quite a show Thursday afternoon as the Milwaukee Brewers crushed the Cubs 17-4 in Chicago.
Pina hit two home runs, including a grand slam in the win. He drove in a total of six runs.
Luis Urias also hit two home runs for Milwaukee while tying a major league record with five extra-base hits. He hit three doubles and drove in five runs. Urias became the 16th player with five extra-base hits in a game in MLB history.
Hunter Strickland picked up the win for the Brewers, who have won four straight.
Patrick Wisdom and Frank Schwindel homered for the Cubs. Kyle Hendricks allowed nine runs over four innings to take the loss for Chicago, which has lost eight straight.
The Brewers now head to Pittsburgh for a three-game weekend series. Game one is Friday night.
