The block of North 8th Street between Center and New York Avenues in downtown Sheboygan is under a planned 2-day closure that began Monday, and is set to reopen at 6 this evening, but that’s weather-dependent and subject to change according to City Engineer Ryan Sazama. Although weather hasn’t been a common issue so far this year, the National Weather Service advises that a line of potentially severe thunderstorms could become a threat after around 4 this afternoon. Regardless, pedestrian traffic won’t be affected.
