MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers dropped two of three over the weekend to the San Francisco Giants, including a 5-4 loss on Sunday at American Family Field.
The Brewers had leads in both the fifth and sixth innings on Sunday but couldn’t hold them.
The Giants’ Brandon Belt had a two run homer in the 7th inning off Daniel Norris. Belt had four homers in the three game series.
The Giants broke a 4-4 tie in the 8th with a Brandon Crawford double and Tommy La Stella single.
For the Brewers, Omar Narvaez hit his 10th homer of the season – a two-run shot in the 4th inning.
Brett Anderson pitched well, allowing only one run through 5 innings but had to leave the game in the 6th inning with leg cramps.
Milwaukee still holds a five game lead on the Cincinnati Reds and will travel to Chicago for a four game series against the Cubs starting Monday night. Freddy Peralta is scheduled to start for the Crew.
