Bonnie M. Braun, age 72, of the Town of Herman, passed away early Saturday Morning
(July 31, 2021) at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls, WI.
She was born on September 10, 1948 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin a daughter of Mary Ann
(Block) Verhage and the late Lawrence “Hap” Verhage.
Bonnie attended St. Peter Claver Catholic Grade School in Sheboygan and graduated
from Kohler High school in 1966.
On November 13 th , 1971, she married James H. Braun at St. George Catholic Church at
Six Corners. Her husband preceded her in death on August 22, 2009.
Bonnie was employed as a teller at Citizen’s Bank and later worked at the Bank of
Elkhart Lake as an assistant cashier. She worked from 1991-1997 for the Sheboygan
Falls School District Office as a bookkeeper until she could no longer work.
She enjoyed crocheting, reading, making floral arrangements and spending time with her
loving grandchildren.
Survivors Include: one daughter: Carisa (Tony) Resimius of Plymouth, one son: Ryan
(Candice) Braun of Plymouth, four grandchildren: Jacob Braun and Evelyn, Henry and
Margaret Resimius. Her mother: Mary Ann Verhage of Sheboygan, four brothers: Gary
(Carolyn) Verhage of Sheboygan, Jim (Julie) Verhage of Sheboygan, Scott (Bev)
Verhage of Kewaskum and Paul Verhage (His wife: Jane Brill) of Hingham, two sisters-
in-law: Lori Kohlhagen of Sheboygan and Jean (Carl) Schwerman of Brookfield, WI. and
special friends: Randy and Debbie Mueller.
She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death her father: Lawrence “Hap” Verhage; two brothers: John and
Mark Verhage, one Infant brother-in-law: Joseph Braun and one brother-in-law: Albert
“Jake” Braun and Patricia Horvath, one sister: Jean (John) Borkenhagen, one nephew:
Terry Borkenhagen and great nephew: Connor Corrigan and by several faithful Yorkie
companions.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday (August 6) at 12:00 Noon at the Suchon Funeral
Home in Plymouth. Rev. RaeAnn Beebe, pastor of Saron United Church of Christ will
officiate and burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Sheboygan.
Visitation will be at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth on Friday morning (Aug 6)
from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Bonnie’s name.

loves and appreciates her brother Ryan, Candice and Jake for all you have done by
giving Mom a home the past few years when she could no longer live safely on her own.
