The entire 1000 block of Erie Avenue in Sheboygan is known as “The Gateway Project”, a revitalization collaboration between the City of Sheboygan, the Sheboygan Police Department and Habitat for Humanity Lakeside. Habitat will break ground on the project’s final two homes to be built on the vacant lots at 10th and Erie on Tuesday with a 5 PM ceremony.
The public is being invited to attend while learning about the housing programs run by Habitat for Humanity, and to meet the friends and family members of the future home buyers.
Speakers during the program will include Habitat Lakeside Executive Director Sarah Beckman and Board President Ross Niemi, as well as Sheboygan Mayor Ryan Sorenson and the future home buyers.
Light refreshments and networking begin tomorrow at 5 with the program at 5:30 PM.
