The Wisconsin DOT is reminding area residents that Highway 32 between Cedar Grove and I-43 will be closed for railroad and resurfacing work beginning Monday.
While state crews fix the road, curb & gutter, and install sidewalk, railroad crews will replace the crossing just east of Main Street in the village.
Traffic will still be able to access County Road “LL” and Sauk Trail Road from I-43, and The Sheboygan Interurban Trail for bicycle and pedestrian traffic will not be interrupted. That trail will also serve as a detour for walkers and bikers in the village.
Access to businesses and properties will be maintained, and the project should take about a month to complete.
