Students and staff in the Sheboygan Area School District won’t be required to wear masks according to guidance approved this week by the District Board.
Although the Centers for Disease Control updated their recommendations that masks “should be worn indoors by all individuals (age 2 and older) who are not fully vaccinated”, the SASD Board is making facial coverings optional for all students and staff.
Vaccinations are still not approved for those under 12 years of age, but the District says that it will continue to promote vaccination opportunities for eligible students and staff.
