Lakeshore Technical College has honored its longest serving employee and second president by naming its iconic bridge for him.
Doctor Dennis Ladwig was celebrated in a ceremony on July 12th led by current LTC President Dr. Paul Carlsen. Members of Ladwig’s family came from as far as Nashville to attend the honors.
Carlsen noted that under Ladwig’s leadership, the new campus was built, the school transitioned from “Institute” to “College”, and the LTC Foundation was formed. Most importantly, said Carlsen, was the education tens of thousands of students during Ladwig’s 42 years of employment by LTC, where students and staff will now cross daily over the Dennis Ladwig Bridge.
