
Agnes A. Gruenke, 78, of Sheboygan, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Sheboygan Senior
Community Center in Sheboygan. She was born in New London, WI on June 24, 1942, to the late
Raymond and Grace (Cummings) Loebbaka.
On October 13, 1962, she was united in marriage to Thomas J. Gruenke. They had celebrated 58 years
of marriage, before Thomas preceded her in death on October 22, 2020. Aggie and Tom were blessed
with two children, Julie (Todd) Kinney and Daniel (Linda) Gruenke.
Aggie loved to be in the kitchen, cooking meals and earning her name as the Poticia Queen within the Ss
Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church community. She enjoyed time with family camping, traveling
Wisconsin in their motorhome and campfires at the family land. Aggie was proud to be apart of the
Slovenian Union of America.
Aggie is further survived by four grandchildren; Cody Gruenke and special friend Kristen, Faith Gruenke,
Amanda Kinney and special friend Trevor, and Ryan Kinney and a sister Karen Kromberg. Other
survivors include special nieces and nephew Jessica, Jason and Amy, and many other relatives and
friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; siblings, Patricia, Bob, David and Laura.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic
Church, 822 New Jersey Ave., Sheboygan, with Fr. Paul Fliss officiating. Relatives and friends may visit
with the family on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass at the CHURCH. For those who wish to

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Aggie’s name can be made to either the Knights of Columbus or
Sheboygan Senior Community.
