
David K. Breitzman, 83, of Cascade, WI, passed away on Thursday (June 17, 2021) at Sharon S.
Richardson Community Hospice with his family by his side.
He was born on April 4, 1938, a son of the late Edwin and Esther (Plautz) Breitzman.
David served in the United States Army and Army Reserves from November 1957 to October 1962.
He married Margaret (Tauber) Luedtke in April 1978 and together they raised seven sons.
David worked at Borden’s (Dairy Farmer’s of America) for 42 years.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth and was a charter member of Cascade Apollo
Rider’s Snowmobile Club, serving in various offices including president. He volunteered on the Cascade
Fire Department, serving as chief and member. He was a charter member of Cascade Lions, serving as
president for several years and was awarded Birch-Sturm award. He was also a member of Cascade
Sportsmen’s Club and Ranger City Rider Snowmobile Club.
David loved to travel, including three cruises, camping, snowmobiling, hunting, teaching his sons his
favorite hobbies and spending time at Up North and Arizona homes.
He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy (Margaret); sons, Kurt (Brenda), Jeff, Darryl, and Mark Breitzman,
and Mike (Janet) Luedtke; grandchildren, Travis, Tara, Logan, and Danielle Breitzman, Dawn (Steve)
Blount, Brittney (Jim) Fanslau, Stacy (Andy) Hron, and Rebecca (Mark) Kostreva; great Grandchildren:
Caleb, Lucas, and Ava Breitzman, Preston and Maxtyn Fanslau, Miles Blount, Brooklynn Hron, and
Charlie and Clara Kostreva; twin brother, Donald (Joan) Breitzman; sister, Joyce (Doug) Schweyer; sister-
in-law, Betty Johnston; niece, Barbara (Dick) Taddey. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and
nephews, and beloved dog, Mayzie.
David was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Clyde and Glendora Tauber; siblings and in-laws,
Bob and Ellen Breitzman, Phyllis and Merlin Guell, Vivian and Carlyle Johanning, Ruth and Bob Krueger,
Ralph Breitzman, and Doug Johnston.
Memorial services will be held on Monday evening, June 21, 2021 at 6:30 PM at the Suchon Funeral
Home in Plymouth. Rev. Nathan Meador, Pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, will officiate. Inurnment
will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Cascade.
Visitation will take place at Suchon Funeral Home on Monday, June 21 from 4:00 PM until time of
services at 6:30 PM.
Military honors will be conducted by the Plymouth VFW World Cheese Center Post #5623 following the
service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial funds are being established in David’s honor with the Cascade Lions,
Cascade Fire Department, Cascade First Responders, and Sharon S. Richardson Hospice.
