
Paul “Top Gun’ James Voss, 83, of Sheboygan, WI passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Sharon
Richardson’s Hospice with his family at his side. Born October 20, 1937 in Sheboygan, WI. Paul
was the son of the late Vernon (Ted) and Marie (Blondie) Gottfried Voss. He attended Trinity
Lutheran School, Central High School, class of 57 & Lakeshore Technical Institute. He was
honorably discharged of Company “D” 426 th Infantry Regiment National Guard of Wisconsin –
1955-1960.
On July 20, 1960 he married his high school sweetheart, Marianne (Hoehnke) Voss at Trinity
Lutheran Church where they are still members. Paul worked for 39 years in the sheet metal
trade at R.P. Honald/Aldag-Honald as well as working at the family business of Quality Metal
Polishing.
Paul was an avid outdoorsman for over 61 years who loved to hunt and fish, especially with his
son Brian and his many beagles and labs. He was a member of the Farmer’s and Sportsman’s
Club, Sheboygan Area Great Lakes Sport Fishing Club, Member and Life Sponsor of Ducks
Unlimited, Sheboygan Yacht Club and an NRA Lifetime Member.
Paul is survived by his wife Marianne; son: Brian Voss (special friend Kathie Horness); daughter:
Donna (John) Fischer; grandchildren: Bradley and Brianna (fiancé Greg Bergin) Fischer; siblings:
John (Kikue) Voss, Mary Ellen (Danny) Madson; brother-in-law: Ronald Hoehnke; along with
many nieces, nephews, other friends and relatives.
The family has requested a private service with no visitation. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund
is being established in his name. The family would like to thank all his caregivers the past two
and a half years and the staff at Sharon S. Richardson’s Hospice for their loving care and
support.
