
Cletus A. Heim, age 84, of Howards Grove, WI, passed away peacefully on Friday (June 11, 2021) at
Harvest Home in Howards Grove with his family by his side after a short battle with leukemia.
He was born on July 23, 1936 in New Franken, WI, a son of the late John and Laura (VandenLangenberg)
Heim.
Cletus attended Grade School at St. Killian Catholic School and graduated from Luxemburg High School
in 1955.
He served in the United States Army from 1956-1958 serving in Korea.
On July 1, 1959, he married Annette Collin at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dyckesville.
Cletus worked at Kohler Company for 39 years. He enjoyed golfing, camping, playing cards, and
watching his grandchildren play sports. He also enjoyed spending winter in Florida with his wife.
He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Elkhart Lake, Howards Grove Athletic
Association, and the Elks Club 2731 in Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Ann; Four children, Brad (Anne) Heim, Dean (Jody) Heim, Lynn (Todd) Marten,
Steve (Jodi) Heim; ten grandchildren, Amy (Aaron) Schmit, Kyle Heim, Matthew (Amanda) Jeske of
Texas, Stephanie (Matt) Thayer, Jacob Heim, Kaylee Heim, Stephanie (Jim) Marten-Johnson, Erica (Peter)
Jarvis, Emily Marten, and Laura Heim; six great-grandchildren, Alexandra Schmit, Harper Schmit, Jax
Heim, Delaney Thayer, Melody Johnson, and Noah Jarvis; four siblings: Orville (Geri) Heim, Lyle (Delores)
Heim, Leon (Sandy) Heim, David (Mary) Heim of Florida; and two sisters-in-law: Pat Heim and Florence
Heim.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Ervin and Norbert Heim; two sisters-in-law,
Karen and Rene Heim; and one great-grandchild, Genevieve Schmit.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday (June 15, 2021) at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Elkhart
Lake from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM, with Mass to follow at 4:00 PM. Father Philip Reifenberg, Pastor of the
Church, will officiate.
Military Rites will be conducted by both the Howards Grove VFW # 9924/Franklin American Legion Post
#387 on Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Cletus’ name.
