(WHBL) – Wisconsin Republicans have a list of questions or complaints after Vice President Kamala Harris came to the state. Harris visited the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Tuesday to try and sell President Biden’s two trillion-dollar infrastructure plan.
Republican U.S. Senator Ron Johnson says only a fraction of that plan will actually be spent on roads, bridges, or airports.
6th District Republican Congressman Glenn Grothman asked why Harris visited Milwaukee before she visited the southern border, since she’s supposed to be in charge of the nation’s immigration crisis.
A press release from Grothman says, in part:
“For Kamala Harris to spend one more day not at the border is to send the message to the Mexican drug cartels and potential illegal immigrants around the world that the United States does not care about our immigration laws,” said Grothman. “I’ve visited the border three times since the beginning of 2020 and can confidently say that you cannot truly know the scope of the crisis at the border, much less attempt to solve it, without talking to CBP and ICE agents, local law enforcement officials, and citizens living on the border who experience the crisis on a daily basis.”
