(WHBL) – The Green Bay Packers went for defense in the first round of the NFL draft on Thursday night. With the 29th overall pick the Packers selected cornerback Eric Stokes from the University of Georgia.
Stokes is 6’1 and 194 pounds and ran a 4.25 40 at his pro day workouts. He’s expected to compete with returning cornerback Kevin King to start opposite of Jaire Alexander.
Green Bay has one pick in the 2nd round – the 62nd overall along with one pick in the 3rd round – the 92nd overall. They also have two fourth round picks, two fifth round picks and one pick in the 6th round.
